Stride Academy News

I received this information in my email. With everything else you are receiving at the end of the year, summer might actually be a better time. as you read the newsletter, you will see some awards given. Who in your school would have been deserving? I would imagine these same opportunities will exist next year. You may also gain some ideas on things you can do in your school to motivate us eof Stride Academy.


2015 Stride Accelerated Achievers

The results are in!  As we wrap up another spectacular school year, we are excited to announce the winners of the 2015 Stride Alabama Accelerated Achievers Contest!  Answering over 90 million questions in Stride this year, Alabama students have a lot to celebrate!  Congratulations to each of you on your hard work this year! We are so proud of each Alabama school!

Alabama Summer Learning Challenge

This summer, Stride Academy is FREEto all students in the state from now toAugust 7.  Prevent "Summer Slide" with a cool blend of online math, reading and science skills practice, spectacular video games and peer competitions to pass the lazy summer days.  Students may access the Stride Academylearning platform online anytime, 24-7, on tablets, PCs and Macs.
Register at, then login to to learn and play!  Students who registered for Alabama Summer Stride in previous years will need to create an account for this summer.  Students who have used Stride Academyduring the 2014-15 school year do not have to register again and may continue to use their assigned login codes throughout the summer.  Teachers, be sure to send those student login codes home with your students before the end of school.
LTS will provide a dedicated Parent Support Line for the Summer Learning Challenge. Parents can call in to 1-855-382-6528 for help with Stride Academy.

Stride Supports Student Learning 

Laura Calhoun, 4th and 5th grade teacher at Linda Nolen Learning Center in Pelham, AL, looks on as student, Emily, works on Stride Academy. Ms. Calhoun uses Stride daily to support student learning. The Quiz Builder has helped to individualize instruction while Star Points encourage healthy, peer competition.
